The 116520LV, often referred to as a “green lizard” in the replica world, is a unique Daytona model that never existed in Rolex’s official lineup. A quick Google search reveals that all the results classify it as a replica, so it’s clear that Rolex did not release this watch. It seems that watch factories have a flair for creativity, creating models like this, as well as others such as the Daytona II and Sea-Dweller D-Green, which also do not exist in genuine Rolex collections. I’m not sure why they create these replica watch based on non-existent models, but they certainly have rich imaginations.
This particular replica Rolex Daytona, the 116520LV, features a green ceramic bezel and green subdials on a white dial, earning it the nickname “green lizard.” It is produced by BL, a relatively small factory in the market. While this model doesn’t have an official counterpart in Rolex’s genuine lineup, it’s a testament to the factory’s creative approach. Who knows, maybe they’ll surprise us with more unexpected models in the future.As for the name 116520LV, I believe BL took inspiration from Rolex’s genuine Submariner 116610LV, which also has a green ceramic bezel. The case of this replica Daytona is 40mm in diameter and 15mm thick, made from 316L stainless steel instead of Rolex’s signature 904L. I’ve already posted a review of this watch on my blog, but it hasn’t sold any units yet. If the market responds well, BL might consider upgrading the material to 904L. The case itself has a brushed surface mixed with polished areas. The chronograph pushers need to be unscrewed to operate, which adds a nice touch, though the back sides of the lugs lack the engravings typically seen on genuine Rolex watches. However, the latest Daytona replicas from Noob factory do have this engraving.
The dial is white, with three white subdials featuring green rings and silver markers. The subdials include a small seconds hand at 6 o’clock, a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock, and a 12-hour chronograph counter at 9 o’clock. I personally think the watch would be even more appealing if it had a fully green dial with silver subdials. Like other rolex replicas, this model also uses luminous material on the hour markers and hands.
The bracelet is crafted from 316L stainless steel and features a three-link design. The center links are polished, contrasting with the brushed links on either side. You can easily remove or install links using a small screwdriver, much like you would on a genuine Rolex. This replica watch is powered by the Asia clone 4130 movement, which is based on a Chinese chronograph movement.
